Mahabaleshwar is Located about 120 km southwest of Pune and
285 km from Mahabaleshwar is a bound by
a beautiful valleys ..Mahabaleshwar is the source of the Krishna River that
flows across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The legendary
source of the river is a spout from the mouth of a statue of a cow in the
ancient temple of Mahadev in Old Mahabaleshwar. Legend has it that Krishna is
Lord Vishnu himself as a result of a curse on the trimurtis bySavitri. Also,
its tributaries Venna and Koyna are said to be Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma
themselves.
Climate of the area is suitable for cultivation of
strawberries, Mahabaleshwar strawberry contributes to about 85 percent of the
total strawberry production in the country . so many private companies are also
have their own Strawberry gardens and
their marketing resources.. so lets catch up with the tourist points..

site of origin of e river Krishna (one of the longest rivers of

Venna Lake. Venna lake is one of the major
tourist attractions of Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra state in India. The lake
was constructed by Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, who was Raja of Satara. The lake is
surrounded by trees on all sides.
