Malshej Ghat - A Mesmerising Hill Station


Malshej Ghat is a splended hills of Western Ghats in the Pune District of Maharashtra, Malshej Ghat Hill Station is home to a varied species of flora and fauna .. some top attraction of malshejghat is given below :-






  •  Pimpalgaon Joga Dam – The 5-kilometre long Pimpalgaon Joga Dam built over the mesmerizing Pushpawati River is one of the main attractions in Malshej Ghat. The scenic background of rolling hills adds to the beauty of the dam. The dam is also a haven for several migratory birds like pink flamingos. With birds like Alpine Swift, Whistling Thrush, Quail, Purple Moorhen and Pied Crusted Cuckoo making regular appearances, the place is a delight for birdwatchers.  


















  • Malshej fall - It is also very Popular among hikers, trekkers and nature lovers, this stunning mountain pass in the Western Ghats is famous for its trekking trails, waterfalls, lakes and  Rock Climbing at Ajoba Hill historic forts



  •  Harishchadragad - The people like to explore devoted to Lord Vishnu, this medieval temple of Harishchadragad is one of the must visit places when in Malshej. 



  • Shivneri Fort - It is located about 40 kilometres from Malshej Ghat. This 17th century historical fort was the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire.


The monsoon months of August and September are a good time to visit Malshej Ghat, with green hills and exotic flamingos visit this area during monsoon months and its a perfect weekend gateway that bring travellers back to this beautiful hill station.
